Data Analyst Responsibilities:

• Analyze healthcare data, including medical claims and eligibility, using SQL Server, PL/SQL, TOAD for Oracle, MS Access, MS Excel
• Understanding of key managed care concepts and terms (e.g. PMPM, CPT, ICD coding, HCPCS, DRG etc.)
• Understanding of data structure/integration and relational database design
• Assist in the population and maintenance of health quality historical data mart
• Responsible for monitoring and identifying data problem areas and conduct research to determine best course of action
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

Data Analyst Qualifications:

• • 2-4 years of experience analyzing healthcare data, including medical claims and eligibility, with demonstrated contemporary experience using SQL Server, PL/SQL, TOAD, Oracle, MS Access, MS Excel
  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare analytics, statistical analysis, SQL programming, or HEDIS reporting
  • Additional experience with other major areas of healthcare analytics (risk adjustment, utilization, predictive modelling, etc.
  • 2+ years of HEDIS experience and/or knowledge preferred
